Abstract

Summarise the result of the research which was done at QB university; which investigates perception of English-major freshmen toward the importance of the guessing word meaning in context, to find out difficulties that the English-major first year students at Quang Binh University face in reading. Draw out some possible solutions and suggestions to overcome the difficulties and improve the results of reading skill.= Nghiên cứu được thực hiện ở trường Đại học Quảng Bình, nhằm khảo sát nhận thức của sinh viên năm nhất chuyên ngành tiếng Anh đối với tầm quan trọng của việc đoán nghĩa từ dựa vào bối cảnh; những khó khăn gặp phải; đề xuất giả pháp nhằm khắc phục khó khăn và nâng cao khả năng đọc hiểu.
